I always deemed Eric Schat’s pastrami sandwich to be the best I’ve ever had. But the second I walked into Katz’s Deli and tasted a sample of their pastrami, I was hooked. I swear the meat practically melts in your mouth. If I had to pick one meal to be my favorite during this trip, I would have to pick Katz’s Deli. Go try it for yourself!
I just returned from a snowboarding trip to Mammoth. Besides hitting the slopes, I also LOVE stopping by Eric Schat’s Bakery in Bishop. The place is filled with breads, cookies, jams, candy, ice cream… you name it. You can’t go wrong with anything you buy here.
Eric Schat’s has the best pastrami sandwich. This picture does no justice. Make sure you order it when you stop by. Oh, and don’t forget to request it on sheepherder’s bread!
If only I could drive this truck home and bring back an endless supply of pastrami sandwiches…
