Happy Birthday, Hello Kitty!

I have been obsessed with Hello Kitty ever since my parents showered me with Sanrio gifts when I was a kid. So you can guess just how excited I was to attend the “Three Apples” Exhibition: Celebrating 35 Years of Hello Kitty at Royal-T!

There were already about 200 people lined up when we arrived at 9:30am on Saturday morning. We didn’t get inside until noon, but it was totally worth the wait. Inside was nothing but Hello Kitty chaos… it was awesome!

I didn’t get a chance to order any food off the Hello Kitty menu, but hopefully I’ll be able to come back again and grab a bite to eat. Here is a peek at what you can order…

I did, however, eat a piece of Hello Kitty’s birthday cake… YUM!

I also had the pleasure of meeting Ivan Arnold, President of tokidoki. It was an incredible experience to meet him & his lovely wife, Pooneh, the masterminds behind tokidoki. They made us feel so welcome and really made the exhibit that much more memorable.

Happy 35th Birthday, Hello Kitty!!!

Gaslamp

I just got back from a weekend getaway in San Diego. I love staying in the Gaslamp District, especially because of all the great places to eat! Here are some of the foods that I enjoyed during my stay.

Zanzibar Cafe has been a favorite of mine since my friends and I discovered the one in PB a few years back. I made sure to check out the downtown location for breakfast.

You can always count on Sushi Deli 2 for great Japanese food and awesome prices that won’t empty your pockets.

We enjoyed Zanzibar so much that we came back for another meal. This time, I ordered the smoked turkey and brie panini.

I couldn’t end the weekend in San Diego without a visit to Extraordinary Desserts! I had a slice of the Ivoire Royale cake and omg it was to die for.

Tina’s Baby Shower

I had to share a photo of Tina’s baby shower cake. Isn’t it so cute?! It matched the invitations perfectly, too. Plus, the cake was so yummy that I finished a gigantic piece all by myself. hehe.

Congrats, Kevin and Tina! Can’t wait to meet Tai!

Mr. & Mrs. Mahoney

I attended Tina & Kevin’s wedding yesterday. Tina and I have been friends since high school, so it was very exciting and special to see her tie the knot!

The ceremony took place at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point, California. The view of the Pacific Ocean was spectacular! The reception was held nearby at the Chart House Restaurant, which overlooks the Dana Point Harbor. The view here was even more amazing. The restaurant was closed for the private reception and it was quite nice to  have the place all to ourselves!

Congratulations, Tina and Kevin! I’m so excited for Baby Fruit Snack Mahoney!!!
